Low running costs
Our low ink film weight, combined with ink cost means that our cost per print is comparable with conventional printing methods. This results in cost effectiveness for short to medium print runs, which other digital printing technologies are unable to achieve.
Print head reliability
We use a simple, nozzle-less ejector print head structure with no moving parts resulting in no ink blockages. When combined with our state-of-the-art ultrasonic automated maintenance technology, means a simply hands-off maintenance process able to bring the print head back to original factory condition within minutes.
Flexible and robust ink chemistry
Our pigments are those used in traditional contact printing, and we use an ink formulation that means substrates need no pre-treatment. All our inks are safe to use with food and beverage products, making them ideal for primary, secondary and tertiary packaging.
We use a 4-colour, CMYK process, to deliver a 600dpi print resolution, with four dot size levels (equivalent to 150 lpi with 64 tonal levels). This offers a precise, sharp and clear printed image.
Our systems are highly adaptable, and we can print onto a large range of substrates, including metal, plastic and paperboard. We custom design and produce printers and printing apparatus using Tonejet technology.
