Tonejet’s proprietary nozzle-less print heads
Cyclone, designed to meet your short to medium print run needs
Using Tonejet’s patented state of the art electrostatic drop-on-demand nozzle-less print heads, Tonejet has created the Cyclone, the first direct to beverage can digital printer able to print both necked and un-necked cans. Cyclone is uniquely positioned to offer a solution to the minimum order quantity dilemma currently facing thousands of craft beverage companies.
With an incredibly low printed ink volume, resulting in the same look and feel of conventionally printed cans, the Cyclone is ideally placed to offer a solution to small batch beverage can decoration, at a cost-per-print similar to conventional printing.
Tonejet’s Cyclone Digital Printer consists of:
Electronic & ink management system
Data control, image management & inspection
Automated print head and ink system maintenance
Automated Can Handling System
From event and location specific products, premium products and special market promotions, the Cyclone quickly responds to customer requirements. Rapid image change over means different images can be printed one after the other, within a customer job or for rapid job change over, without the need to stop the production line, change printing plates or inks. This cutting-edge technology is now available to market leaders that want to capitalise on customised and small batch print runs.
The direct-to-shape answer for metal cans
The direct-to-shape answer for metal cans Cyclone is where the flexibility and power of digital printing meets the needs of the fast paced ever changing consumer requirements. Cyclone is not only a solution for craft brewers but equally suited to a range of beverage applications. In addition to this the future Cyclone’s will enable metal aerosol can, cap and closure printing.
Partnerships with other leading technology companies is important to Tonejet and we have partnered with a world leader, Rockwell Automation, to bring the Intelligent Track System, iTRAK, to the heart of Cyclone’s can transportation system. Historically can decorators
have incorporated fixed pitch, fixed index timing platforms resulting in a large foot print and overall throughput dictated by the slowest overall operation. The iTRAK independent motion control enables Cyclone to have the smallest foot print and fast operation resulting on the most efficient can decorator on the market. In addition to this we have incorporate Tonejet’s latest patent pending Passive Mandrel technology resulting in a dramatic reduction in machine complexity, cost reduction and maximum reliability.
Cyclone’s product features include:
